Watch the Pink dolphins south of Koh Samui! With this tour you have the chance to see the extremely rare and extremely fascinating pink dolphins native only to the waters of Koh Samui and the small islands that surround Koh Samui. The boat staff are very friendly and attentive and double as a Dolphin Protection Team.
A pink dolphin tour south of Koh Samui is a great option for anyone who wants to get a first-hand experience of these beautiful dolphins in their natural habitat from the comfort of a speedboat (much faster than taking a longtail boat). Bringing your swimwear, sun protection, towel, and your camera is always recommended for each dolphin tour. You should also bring your booking voucher and footwear that is suitable for walking.
The best time of the year for a pink dolphin tour in southern Thailand is between October and April. Many experts believe that there are only 2,000 of these rare pink dolphins in the wild, with around 150 of those dolphins living in the area near Koh Samui. Viewing these magnificent animals in the wild is always a breathtaking experience that will create many memories with your friends or family members.
Our pink dolphin discovery tour provides a unique experience for animal lovers on vacation in Koh Samui. Tour guides are also available during boat trips to help you learn more about these magnificent creatures.
We can guarantee a 99% possibility that you will see the Dolphins. After spotting the pink dolphins we will head to Koh Tan. This is a pristine island close to Koh Samui, where we enjoy a Thai lunch on a beautiful beach. There you can experience the amazingly colourful coral reefs tropical sea life by snorkeling, or if you prefer you will have the chance to relax on the peaceful beaches of Koh Tan. After you have had the chance to explore Koh Tan you will be taken back to Koh Samui and transferred back to your hotel.
What to Expect
We start the day with your experienced tour guide picking you up by mini bus from your accommodation. Pickups start between 08:00am and 09:00am depending on the location of your hotel. We then head to Thong krut pier where we will depart by speedboat to the Khanom coast. This is where you will be able to see the dolphins.
We stay with the dolphins for a while. They are not locked up in an area and are free to go wherever they want. Watch the dolphins in their natural surroundings (no swimming allowed here).
We then sail towards Koh Taen, a small island south of Koh Samui. Here you can go snorkeling or enjoy the beach. A Thai buffet lunch will be served here (vegetarian and halal options available). At around 14:30 it’s time to head back to Samui, which is just a short 15 minute boat ride away. We then bring you back to your hotel by air conditioned minivan.
